The Carnival Experience tourism program was created with the idea of presenting the universe of samba schools, showing the backstage of the creation of the show and the history of the birth of Samba and Carnival.

The narrative is told by Pimpolhos(child) from Escola de Samba Grande Rio, who, in partnership with his “mother school”, Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, opens the doors of the carnival universe so that the general public can be enchanted with the characters from this beautiful popular event.
Rio Carnival is one of the biggest events in the city, and it attracts people from all over Brazil and the world to experience this passion.
In Rio, there are more than 90 samba schools, in which an average of 100,000 members participate. There are thousands of professionals involved, who work throughout the year to organize this party: musicians, choreographers, dancers, artisans, samba masters and producers.
Pimpolhos da Grande Rio is a children's samba school and a non-governmental organization whose mission is to promote social interaction and educate through the carnival culture. The Carnival Experience tourism program is part of the institution's socioeconomic sustainability pillar and arises from the need to diversify its source of funds to ensure the continuity of its sociocultural projects. Carnaval Experience is a social business and contributes to the maintenance of future carnivals.
